about us

Guest Room is a vintage boutique, local art gallery, plant store and book shop - all deliberately nested with French-tinted warmth that feels like home.
Our immersive and quirky hideaway blends influences from New York City and Cleveland for an ever-evolving collection of vintage apparel, original illustrations and paintings, and an eclectic selection of classic and modern literary voices.

At its core, Guest Room is also a hub for a variety of pop-up events, featuring live music, drink & draw sessions, local chef nights, and more.

Alexis’ vintage line (@hemsandhose on Instagram) is a timeless collection of apparel sourced along the East Coast, Greater Cleveland and Pittsburgh areas.

Erica’s illustrations (@nincompoooooooop on Instagram) attempt to conceptualize feelings and experiences in a way that is both disarming and uncomfortably relatable. Some of Erica's previous work is still on display at a small gallery in Williamsburg, BK.

the origins of
Guest Room
Before moving back to Cleveland, Co-Founders Alexis Shultz and Erica Linnemann - best friends of over 10 years - began drawing up business plans throughout their six-year residency in New York City. The concept of "Guest Room" dates back to their cozy, pre-War, 4-story walk-up apartment on W 103rd Street, where Alexis and Erica hosted in-house Art & Vintage Pop-Up Soirées for hundreds of local New Yorkers, hungry for intimate experiences and affordable, artisinal shopping.
